Very cool vintage painting of people in times square (duffy square on street sign) waiting in line for the Broadway show Eubie! This show ran in 1978-1979, to give a time frame of creation. The colors are vivid and the font is bold. It has a retro vibe, a nostalgic piece of New York City theatre life. I do not know with certainty what kind of paint was used. You can see by the back and the close up of the side, the canvas is old and has some minor flaws, please see pics for best description, but I do my best to describe what I see. Note, there is a crack in paint in bottom left corner and a worn spot under the artist Lasko signature. The back is dirty. There is also a drip mark in painting, I have not attempted to remove, and I dont know if this was a drip in the paint during creation, or if something dripped on the canvas afterwards (you can see it in the road at bottom). I think it adds to the age of the canvas, it has history for sure, but if buyer desires to have it cleaned/framed/etc. there are professionals that would give better advice than me in that regard.
