It looks to be made of copper or bronze with two metal bands. The item has a hinged lid. The item looks to be American in origin (see photos). The item is not marked by the maker. This item originally has a glass insert for ink that is no longer present. The spot for the glass insert measures about 1.5 inches across. This item measures about 2 and 3/8ths inches high and it is about 3 inches wide from both side to side and from front to back. The item has some scuffs, some finish loss and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
